“ We wanted to avoid the beachside tourist places around Scala dei Turchi which mostly had quite bad ratings. Drove 9 mins to Porto Empledoce to find some “local” dining and chanced upon Mariterra opposite the free carpark at the fort. What a great restaurant, very spacious, tidy and it has water views. Outside tables are also possible. Staff were friendly, prompt and helpful. Pizzas were excellent, house wine by the glass and dessert liquor also exceptional. Glad we went and can thoroughly recommend it for decent quality, easy casual dining and at a reasonable price. Gave 5 stars for this level of dining. ”
